Jean Dubuffet - part 4

Jean Dubuffet (1901 – 1985) was a French painter and sculptor. His idealistic approach to aesthetics embraced so called "low art" and eschewed traditional standards of beauty in favour of what he believed to be a more authentic and humanistic approach to image-making. For biographical notes on Dubuffet see part 1, and for earlier works see parts 1-3.

This is part 4 of a 4-part post on the works of Jean Dubuffet:

  1. Hello,

what you do is incredible. I'm not interested in paintings or sculpture. But, when i come on your blog, i always see beautiful things. I thought i would never be interested by that. You made me wrong. Sometimes i like, sometimes not, but i recognize when it is great talent or not. You choose very well, not only the artists but the pictures, and the size too. It fits very well. I discovered Oderdonk, Pollock and Hunt. Whaouh ! So, i have to thank you.
